Each prompt passes through a three-layer stack in sequence. Structured patterns are caught first, contextual content second, policy action applied last.
Pattern Matching
Regex-based detection for structured data: payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, API key formats, connection strings, private key material. Deterministic and fast.
ML Classification
Contextual PII and sensitive content detection across unstructured text. Identifies customer names, account identifiers, contract language, and source code fragments that do not match rigid patterns.
Policy Engine
Per-category actions configured per team or user group: block the request, redact the flagged content and allow the rest, or log silently. Rules are layered from global defaults down to individual user overrides.
